WOOOO!! We have a date!! [26 May 2006|08:11am]
[ mood | Woo woo! ]

Saturday June 10, Jimmy and I are tying the knot! Where you might ask? In...VIVA LAS VEGAS!!!!!!!!!

After much discussion, we decided to just get married in Las Vegas. Maybe not the most glamourous of all places, but you know what? It's not the place that matters, it's the reason you're there that matters. So, we are there to get married!! WOWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Oh yeah...and we pick up the keys to our condo today! At 4! Yay! Hopefully move in stuff tomorrow and then Jimmy will stay there to keep watch over our stuff (and keep it clean danggit!) and then I move on in after we get hitched. Yay!

One more year... [25 May 2006|02:37pm]
until my high school reunion is coming up. I think I mentioned that already. Well, I mention it again.

I want to see what everyone's up to/looks like, out of morbid curiousity...howeva...I don't want to actually be there to have to see them. *L8 I wonder if I can invisi-ray myself and then go mingle among the commoners without them seeing me. I can point and laugh, or point and scoff, or point and roll my invisi-eyes and snort. Yeah, I wish I could do that.

There's actually a myspace site for the class reunion. Wow...someone's a lit-tle too into this, eh?

On a different note...I wanna go to Disneyland! I think I'll go next month. Oh no! Wait! Our passes expire next month! Curses and foulness and everyhing in between!

*shakes fist*

Help please. [16 May 2006|07:54am]
[ mood | happy n happier ]

My da and I are working out an agreement that will allow me to earn some extra cash (and get a nifty digi camera in the process), but I need some help.

Can someone please explain to me exactly how selling on ebay works? What's the best way to do it? What do I need to remember? Is it really really hard to do? What's screw-ups have you done that you learned from? ;P

Anything to help me out would be nice. Some guy is willing to sell my da's stuff but wants a 35% cut. I think my da is getting ripped, so I told him, I'd do it for cheaper (he's my da and plus, I get a digi camera out of it).

Help would be appreciated, thanks.

Oh and Jimmy and I did the walk-thrugh on our condo on Sunday and it's so cute! I can't wait. AAANNNNDDDD...my co-worker and her husband GAVE me a wedding band for Jimmy. She said that her and her husband remember how hard it was when they started out and they wanted to help us a little. I almost cried.

Updates and no updates. [26 Apr 2006|05:39pm]
Applied for another job at the main office; this time for a Grade 4 Cash Reporting Clerk. Starting pay is $13.03, M-F, weekends off, holidays off, etc. Not sure of the time, but I believe it's another 8-5 position.

I'm not as confident about this job, but...Proverbs 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Gotta have the faith, y'know? Gotta have the faith.

On another note...nothing new with the impending marriage. Why? Cuz well...there's nothing new. We might have to wait a whole, 'nother MONTH!!!! *cries*

Ah well...what can you do y'know? It could be worse...I could still be in L.A., only able to see him on weekends...oh wait...that's kind of how it is now. *L* Well, at least if I get too desperate, I can always pop in on him during his lunch on my off days.

Yeah, I might do that this Friday.

Peace, love, happiness, and all that jazz.

Blah (edited for typos) [25 Apr 2006|07:26pm]
Soooo, yesterday was Disneyland...again. For the second time in one week. :P Gotta love it. The lines were short, the walkways were empty (for being Disneyland), the pin trading was a'right, and my butt....was freakin soaked. For some stupid unknown reason known only to my subconscious, I told Jimmy, like a dork, "Hey let's go on Bear Rapids". Y'know? That water ride in Disney California? Yeah, well we went on it...and i got soaked. The whole left side of me...soaked. I headed back to the car to try and dry my pants (stupid jean pants) and my bloody heater wouldn't work enough to dry them. So I changed shirts (I had an extra one) and then put my wet soaky pants back on. Spent the next two or three hours walking around with a cold wet butt.

So that was my day off.

I just realized that next year is going to be my ten-year reunion. Carnal curiousity makes me wonder who's going to be there, but logical sanity tells me that there is no way I will. Why? Eh, who really cares right? I mean...if anyone in high school actually WANTED to know what others would be doing in ten years, they would have kept in contact (or at least tried to) rather then show no interest in one's life for ten years and then suddenly want to see how you are doing. But that's just me. Plus....I wouldn't put Jimmy through the torment of having to be around people who I haven't seen myself in ten years. Heck, if I don't talk to them, why should he be made subject to doing so.

Oo! Oo! And May 19 through June 11 is STAR WARS WEEKENDS at Walt Disney World!!!! Somebody pay for Jimmy and me to go! *L* Actually...that's not really my bag. I'm purely a bandwagon Star Wars gal. Although...I can sound like Chewy when I want to. ;P
So, that's my logic and i'm sticking to it.

"Wishing, and hoping, and planning, and praying...." [21 Apr 2006|08:11pm]
[ mood | happy n content ]

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDD...nuthin'.

:P

Well, today at aproximately 1430 (2:30 pm for you non military time folks), Jimmy and I were SUPPOSED to be married. But, alas...twas not to be as everything had to be cancelled/postponed due to circumstances beyond our control. Again, for a good reason, but still not something we wanted.

So, in honour of the marriage that was to be, Jimmy and I went to Soboba Casino. Now, those who know me, know that I'm not much of a casino person. Oh, I love the Las Vegas and am willing to go there whenever I can (afford), but I don't sit my butt down in the casinos to play the slots or the tables. I go, come across a machine that calls to me, answer the sound of that nickel hungry siren, and then move on...on to the SHOPS!!! Where....I don't spend any money, I just look around. ;-) So, for me to be at an Indian casino is...shall we say..not the best of times. Or as my beloved Jimmy puts it: "Yer boring." Ha. Ha. Actually I am, I hate to lose money. But this time, I didn't lose money. I actually gained some...a lot actually for what I put in. Insert twenty, almost cry when I see I'm down to around 9 bucks, then HOOT An' HOLLA!!! I shoot back on up to twenty! Then yippy skippy! I shoot on past to 80 bucks!! I stick around, try for more, go down to sixty, then up to seventy, down to sixty, up to eighty again, back down to seventy, then sixty, then back up to eighty, think "No way, am I losing this", cash out, give Jimmy a ten so he can play the Star Wars slots, then use another ten for me to play Lil' Lucy, lose both tens, and then we head on out. Go in with twenty, come out with an additional forty. Not bad. I had some fun (even though Jimmy had to glare at me several times for wanting to cash out before I lost everything).

After Soboba, we head on over to...Wal-Mart...SUPA'CENTER!!!!!!!!!!! Er...super center. I looked upon it and said "It....Is...GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooddddddddd." That place is...HUGE!!!!!!!! And the prices are great! Yes, I know I'm being traitor to my pride and joy place of employment but...dang! Show me where the savings are! We got some stuff, then left to eat at some red barn country looking resturante, got sick from too much food, then headed back to Riverside.

Not everyone's idea of fun, I know, but then....fun is being with the person you love no matter what you do or where you go. And I had fun today. Yes, we didn't get married today as we had planned, but things still worked out for us to enjoy our day today.

All in all...not a bad Friday.

:)

Wedding update: [14 Apr 2006|01:25pm]
It was postponed. We were scheduled to be hitched a week from today, but alas, we had to cancel for this month and postpone it until...well...we're no sure yet. We hit a brief snag in the process of acquiring our place. However, things will start getting started again as soon as some paperwork is done.

Suffice to say that, yeah I'm bummed, but at least it was a good reason we had to postpone and not a bad/sad reason (i.e. "You didn't get the loan for your condo").

Anywho, that's why I have updated much, I've been busy with other things.

More news to come when I get it.

Cake toppers.. [23 Mar 2006|09:45pm]
OKay, so I'm looking at various cake toppers, and granted I'm not much for this whole wedding ordeal (it's about flyin to Vegas folks), I still want to try and enjoy the prep work. Back to my point however...I was looking through cake toppers, and while out of my price range, these are definitely a few I would love to be able to choose from:

Image hosting by Photobucket
Now really people, one cannot marry a Star Wars nerd without there being SOME Star Wars nerd-dom in the decor!

Image hosting by Photobucket
The couple we most relate to! Well...after Doug and Carrie on "King of Queens"

Image hosting by Photobucket
You just can't beat a Homer Simpson with hair!

Image hosting by Photobucket
Ha haaa! My dark side shows through once again!...eh. I just like the music.

Image hosting by Photobucket
This would be so cute to see on a cake.

And finally...

Image hosting by Photobucket
Well now...this would just give me nightmares for the rest of our marriage.

Welp...that's all the marriage info for now. I love some of those toppers, I just can't get 'em. I might go traditional, I might not. I'm thinking of doing a paint shop on a Stitch figurine and making him with a lil white tuxedo and top hat and placing him somewhere on the cake. That or get the groom cake in the shape of Stitch (since that's Jimmy's character). Who knows.

"Going to the chapel and I'm...going CRAA-A-A-ZEE!!!" [21 Mar 2006|03:13pm]
[ mood | snarky ]

*L* Actually not. So yesterday, I give Puppy the invites for his side of the family. They already knew about the reception, but still, we're sending invites and stuff. So, like our invites are all ghetto and junk because yours truly, who has mad computer skills...when it comes to reports, typed/printed/designed the invites herself. So basically...yeah, our invites kinda look ghetto cheesy. But it's all good tho'! Cuz Pup is doing the decorating of the front of the invites to make 'em look really snazzy and stuff. So, maybe my side of the invites will be redeemed (or forgotten) by his side of the invites. :P

So, yeah, we go around to various places (Wal-Mart, Michaels, Target) to buy some stuff for the invites, along with getting some ideas for the decorating of the actual recep room. Pretty good ideas. I like my idea the best: we have a bouncer at the door, and whoever doesn't come with a gift can't get inside. Neat, huh? Ok, so no bouncer. But seriously, we...alright...HE...came up with some nifty ideas. But I came up with the lil bubble tube idea!! I swear I did! So, yeah. We did that and all that and it was fun.

Work today was hectic and fast paced and I made mistakes and I had to waste time trying to fix them and I did and gawd, I love my job. I just wish I didn't have to leave because the pay reeks ('specially when you're going to get married). But...who knows, maybe I'll get transfer to my own store and become main bookkeeper. Oh yeah, I don't know if I mentioned that: I'm a bookkeeper. I deal with money and numbers. And I swore I would never deal with numbers ever in my life. Ever. EV-ER! So, yeah I do and I love it.

Oh yeah! Marriage again. I', skipping out on the whole 'wedding dress' thing. I'm just going to go with a really snazzy white dress and just upscale it a bit. I don't want Jimmy to spend money on a dress I won't be able to wear again. So, I told him that layter on, sometime, he's going to owe me a new dress. muh-WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

And yes, that's pretty much all the news for now. Disneyland maybe this Sunday, after I work a couple of hours and after we go to church. Maybe. We'll see.

Love, peace, happiness, joy. And kiss a cow don't eat it.

moo.

Okay, begging time! [16 Mar 2006|01:46pm]
[ mood | Cant believe im asking ]

Alright folks, in honour of Jimmy and I getting married, I'm going to be tacky and say:

SOMEONE BUY US THIS FOR A WEDDING PRESENT!!!

Disneyland E-Ticket Pack

Disney E-Ticket Pin

*L* Seriously people, as corny as it sounds, I'm trying to score original E-Ticket packets from back in the 70's for Disneyland. For those who don't know, or have yet to find out, Jimmy and I are major Disneyfanatics. Well...as major as two people who literally live to work, can be. We have the old stamps of Disney, old figures of Disney, pieces of old disney rides (okay, kidding on that). But yeah, we got mad love for the Disneyland. Oh yeah, and as a wedding gift we might be going on a paid trip to Walt Disney World. It was either that or have a fully paid wedding reception. Gee, that's a hard choice. *snort*

So anyways, yes, this is me asking to get these two disney things. Normally, I'd just go and buy 'em myself but seeing as how we're in escrow right now...I can't very well be spending money on things like that. The Pin is just to add to our little E-Ticket Pins we have so far from trading.

And really? I don't expect to get them, I just thought I'd go out on a limb and try.

Advice from the former Un-Learned: [13 Mar 2006|08:40pm]
[ mood | Sore but living ]
[ music | "Somewhere Beyond the Sea" ~ Bobby Darin ]

When the time comes to make a wedding registry...wherever you choose to register at...do it over the span of a couple of days. Do not, I repeat, do...NOT...attempt to do it all in a mere one day. Let's just say you come out of it with very sore feet, sore eyes, and a dizzyingly-achyingly headache. And then, you STILL wind up going on-line to edit what you put down!

Jimmy and I spent a total of five hours making our registry. yes, five hours. This being in the same day that yours truly had a 3am shift. So on Saturday I was on my feet from 2am to approximately 1030pm. A lovely...what? 20 hours up and on my feet? Not too sure, I'm still recovering from it all. :) Oh yeah and then I had to work the next day around 8 hours. Gotta love it all.

But! We are registered, we have our recep 'hall' and we have our dates. So for now, we relax, keep everything in prayer and continue to look forward to the day. And he owes me a nice long foot massage. :P

Oh yeah...and I need to buy him a ring still. D'oh!

Nothing new... [28 Feb 2006|04:18pm]
Just a quick non-entry entry to escape from reality and let some people know I'm still alive. It's been a couple of hectic, stressedout frantic weeks dealing with loans, interviews, more loans, consolodations, pay reductions and basically a lot of froofy poo that I don't want to get into. Soon though, soon...a light shall shine at the end of this grey, dreary, dismal tunnel and I shall once again step out into the bright sunshine of the day and be glad to be alive. For now though, it's a trudge through life.

Eyes up, eyes up, train up in the sky.

SINGLES APPRECIATION DAY next week! WWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! It's that special day in the whole year that holds up you singles, yes YOU singles, as that people that stand out the most! Why? you may ask? Well, I'll tell you:

As you go through Singles Appreciation Day, a.k.a. February 14, you look around at all those saps who are receiving cards and flowers and you realize, "My gawd! I am SO bloody better than all those larps!" While their 'honeys' are giving gifts to them, you can open your wallet that day and laugh as you look at the money you have that they no longer do, because you did not have to partake in the ritualized stereotype attitude of buying gifts for someone because you are expected to. You can go into any resturate that day and laugh as you are seated to a table for one practically as soon as you enter the door while all those other poor saps have to wait anywhere from 30-60 minutes for a table for two. You can have a fight the day before with someone of the opposite sex and not have to worry about "Oh no, I have to apologize to them because tomorrow is 'valentine's day'." You can hold a bitter fight and NOT have to make-up until you feel like it!!

So when people tell you that they're sorry you have to go through Valentine's Day by yourself, you look 'em straight in the eye and say "Valentine's Day?!?! Has your boy/girlfrind fried your brain so much by nagging you?! It's Singles Appreciation Day, you idjit!!" And then you smile demurely at them and say "I'm so sorry you have to spend your week's check on someone other than yourself."

So to all you singles out there....Happy Singles Appreciation Day!!!!

And...I'll be making reservations at the Cheesecake Factory for Jimmy and myself this Saturday to celebrate Singles Appreciation Day.

I just realized something...if you abbreviate Singles Appreciation Day...you get S.A.D.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a side note: For anyone living around the Pittsburgh, PA area. Go see Wicked the Musical!!!! March marks the last touring date for Stephanie Block performing as Elphaba. After that month, Julia Murney will be taking over the role. I urge any who can to go see that finale tour performance for Stephanie. Considering that the songs for the character Elphava were written with Stephanie's voice in mind, you might want to hear how they were meant to be heard. So go see. Now! go! I command thee! When's the Super Bowl?!?!!?? [24 Jan 2006|07:01pm]
[ mood | contemplative ]

So, I took the written exam today and...yeah. It wasn't what I expected. Well no, I shouldn't say that. It WAS what I expected: more questions that I didntt know how to answer versus uestions that I could answer. So...that was that. I find out sometime this week if i get an interview or not. I don't know how I feel about that possibility. I've gone beyond thinking "I won't get it"/"I will get it"; nowadays it's all "God's in control, I just need to do my best". So I'm still in prayer about it but other than that, that's about all I can do.

Less then three weeks until Jimmy and I find out about that condo situation. Not too sure about that either. To be quite honest, and as I think I've mentioned earlier, I'm just living a limbo right now. There's so many things going on right now, that the simplest action can ease my mind from all the turmoil of the thoughts thundering in my head. Like for instance: my gramps told me we might go fishing again this Friday. Even though that will be the third time in three weeks, I'm still as excited about it as I was the first time we went. It's a relief from reality for me. I just hope Jimmy has such reality breaks as that.

Speaking of my soon-to-be hubby; we've decided on a somewhat time for our impending marriage. Not too far away, but far enough so that we have a bit of time to plan for a fail-safe if the condo situation falls through.

Last note: I now have my new '98 Buick Century. It's a pretty forest green with lots of room in it. Wider than I'm used to driving, but such a smooth ride that I sometimes can't tell if I'm going 17 or 71 mph. It's a great vehicle though. All now for me to do is sell Baby (*sniffle sniffle* my little girl) and then the car issue is dealt with and done.

Well, kiddies, that's all for now. I'm off to look for job opportunities.

(2 Yarps | Yarp! )

Couple update: [19 Jan 2006|04:07pm]
Jimmy and I put in for a condo last Saturday and found out on tuesday that we were prequalified for a certain amount of money that would allow us to purchase a one-bedroom, one bath condo. So happiness and much thanks to God for that, but from this point on...it's all going to be a road of faith. On paper this looks very impossible, but with God all things are possible. So while internally there is a battle between the "trust in God" and "look at the facts" aspects of my being, I'm trying my hardest to walk in faith knowing that where God guides, God provides. It's a matter of praying and just trusting in God, leaning on the verse, "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed" (Prov 16:3, NIV). Even if nothing should come of this (which, Lord knows, I'm hoping that something does) at least we now know that we both have good credit and CAn qualify for something.

So, from this point until next month, there will be no new developments with our engagement. No date will be set until we somewhat finalze the manner of a place to live.

On a different note: I go in for a written exam with the City of Corona next week. For any believer...keep me in prayer. I need a new job badly, as while this current one makes the bills...that's all it does: make the bills. Time comes for me to leave this job, I won't exactly be leaving it being any the more financially better than when I entered. But the Word says: "In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps" (Prov 16:9, NIV).

Oh yeah and one last thing: I got a new car! Well...not exactly new, but...well it's new to me. Jimmy's mum 'gave' me her '98 Buick Century. And it's my favorite color: GREEN! It's a little bigger vehicle than I'm used to driving, but...I'll adjust. I need a new car; Baby just isn't working like she used to. Sad thing...I might have to put her down. but, we'll see. We'll see.
